The Harte & Garter Hotel opened its doors in 2007 after an £8 million refurbishment of two 14th-century coaching inns, The Garter Inn and The White Harte. The new building maintains all the historic architectural features of the old inns but has been redesigned in a modern, fresh English style. All the rooms and bathrooms are totally redone and many of them have stunning views over Windsor Castle and St. George's Chapel; others have lovely views over the River Thames and Eton College and beyond.
